Son of a missionary, a husband, a father, a former remodeling contractor, a residential designer, and a writer. I am the inquisitive retiree—constantly learning and adapting to new places and routines. And I love it. I have always been curious about how things work, making a process more efficient, and all things new. A great way to live. I tend not to adopt anything as final. I want an open mind so I am able to evaluate whatever I come across and accept it or reject it. As my grandmother once wrote in the endpaper of a book she gave me, “You are always helping people”.
